
In most cases trade show materials will be packed for you. However, if you are the show lead, it is good to know what is being packed as you will be responsible for making sure set-up goes well.
- Materials are normally gathered by Marketing. The pack-list is generated from past lists for similar shows \\jumbo\Everyone\TradeShow\PackLists.
- Sales puts through an order to make sure that any machinery needed for the show is manufactured and ready.
- The travel coordinator makes arrangements for the booth: location, carpeting, electricity, furniture, etc.
- The travel coordinator also lets shipping know where the product will go.
- The show lead will communicate with shipping, sales, and marketing to make sure everything is arranged and in order.
- The show lead needs to discuss with shipping & marketing when the ship date will be and if the material will go to the warehouse or directly to the show.
- The show lead needs to double check to make sure that necessary show stands are included.
- The show lead also makes the final decision on the travel itinerary of the travel team.
