WPG Apparel Program

Each year on January 1, each active employee who has worked for WPG for the past 3 consecutive months will be assigned an allowance of $30.00 to go towards the purchase of WPG logo company apparel or work shoes. Any unused and available apparel allowance at the end of the year will get rolled over into the employee’s apparel allowance bank for subsequent years. The maximum balance allowed at any one time in an individual employee’s apparel allowance bank will be capped at a maximum of $200.00.

APPAREL

The process for ordering WPG apparel through this program is:

1. Employee will request an apparel voucher from the Apparel Program Manager (Mary Wallace).
2. Apparel can then be ordered either through the designated WPG apparel website or directly from the place of business listed on the apparel voucher.
3. Once order is confirmed, the employee will be responsible for presenting voucher to the apparel supplier.

If the transaction total exceeds the amount the employee has available in their apparel allowance bank as noted on the voucher, the employee will be responsible for the balance owed. All apparel ordered through this program will be required to have the current WPG logo embroidered or screen printed on it.

Apparel allowance is not an earned benefit and therefore does not qualify for monetary reimbursement at any time.

FOOTWEAR

In the never-ending effort to improve ergonomics, we have recently expanded our apparel program to be useable for ergonomic footwear at Red Wings Shoes. You will get a voucher from Mary Wallace just like for WPG clothing apparel and go to Red Wing Shoes with a valid ID and voucher within the 1-month expiration date of the voucher (a new voucher can be issued if you are unable to use the original one). You will present the voucher and in addition to the voucher amount you will also receive a 15% discount. This voucher can only be used for shoes that are primarily for work.

There will be a broader 10% discount that you can use for family and friends or if you have no available voucher amount, you will just need to tell them that you are with the Wood’s account. The purpose of this is to encourage footwear that will minimize strain on your body particularly since many jobs involve standing for the greater part of the day. They will scan your foot to help with fitting the right shoe for you and also help with upkeep by cleaning the boots regularly if you bring them in. EARBUDS

Employees can use their WPG apparel fund to purchase WPG-approved earbuds. We recommend contacting the Apparel Program Manager, Mary Wallace, for more details before making a purchase.

1. Select one of the approved earbud models listed below.
2. Submit proof of purchase to either the Apparel Program Manager or Lean Process Engineer, Taven Mykel, and specify the amount you’d like to apply from your apparel fund.
3. You will be reimbursed for the voucher amount.
